Mimzy the Mothling
Mimzy is often mistaken for something small and fragile, and she prefers it that way.
She keeps her great wings folded tightly against her back, tucked so neatly that most never realize they are there at all. Mimzy lingers quietly at the edges of crowded rooms and trembling moments, drawn to those who make themselves smaller so others may fit.
When courage falters and words refuse to rise, Mimzy steps forward.
Only then do her hidden wings unfurl in full, wrapping the space around her in borrowed bravery. She will stand where you cannot, speak when your voice shakes, and hold that courage for you until your own returns.
She asks for nothing in return.
Only that, when the day comes you no longer need her, you remember that the courage was always yours. She was merely keeping it safe.
