Aster and Belle The Conjoined Twins
Aster & Belle are shy little heralds of spring, conjoined bunny baphomets born from the quiet moment the world begins to soften again. Through the long winter months, the pair all but disappear beneath towering quilts, tangled together in warm burrows lined with lavender sachets, dried flowers, and impossibly soft blankets. They take hibernation very seriously, often sleeping nose-to-nose for weeks at a time, using one another’s long floppy ears as makeshift blankets while snow gathers silently outside. The troupe knows better than to wake them early - spring itself seems reluctant to arrive without them.
When the thaw finally comes, Aster & Belle emerge blinking into the pale sunlight with sleepy eyes and hearts full of gentle purpose. Though they rarely speak above a whisper, they can be found wandering quietly through flower fields and dew-soaked gardens, pausing beside each tiny sproutling pushing up through the soil. The twins kneel beside every fragile bloom, whispering soft encouragement into unfurling petals and newly awakened roots, coaxing fresh life into the world one tender word at a time.
Wherever they pass, crocuses bloom a little brighter, buds open a little sooner, and the cold ache of winter begins to loosen its hold. Many within the Goblin-Esque Menagerie believe spring does not truly begin until Aster & Belle wake from their slumber and step softly back into the waking world together.
