Odette, the Curtain Call Dragon
Odette has no interest in the spotlight.
While her sister spins beneath the lantern glow of the three rings, bowing to an audience of dust motes and borrowed applause, Odette remains tucked safely behind the velvet curtain. This is where she prefers to be, where cues are counted, costumes are adjusted, and every leap, lunge, and wildly unnecessary tightrope stunt can be planned out at least three times before Elodie inevitably does it wrong anyway.
She is the choreographer of grand entrances, the keeper of timing, the quiet voice that reminds you which foot to step with first.
And yet.
Despite her best efforts, Elodie continues to throw herself headlong into every performance with all the grace of a falling pastry.
Odette can often be found in the wings, tapping her foot in mounting concern, shaking her head with fond impatience as her sister prepares for yet another dramatic dive that will absolutely flatten her ruffles for good this time. She fusses with crooked hats, brushes sawdust from scuffed knees, and laughs in spite of herself at the smudges and spectacle.
Because while Elodie may live for the applause,
Odette lives to make sure she makes it to the final bow.
